Satisfactory can be best described as a 3D version of Factorio. Fans of Factorio will notice the similarities such as clearing the vegetation, picking up materials, automating pieces of machinery, making sustainable power source, and linking everything with conveyor belts into a centralized factory. Unlike most open-world have procedurally-generated environments, this game only has pre-generated worlds in 30km2 area coverage. Anyone can enjoy the vast and thriving alien environment. Players can also discover foreign floras sprawling in every biome. Players take the role of a FICSIT Incorporated pioneer of the Save the Day program. The aforementioned program tasks them to provide short-term solutions for massive long-term problems, particularly limited natural resources. They are given the freedom of building their own virtual factory on an alien planet. They also have to confront hostile alien life forms other than simply getting all natural resources. Alien creatures range from tiny arachnid Stingers to friendly Lizard Doggo and even a massive Flying Crab. Players can create automated infrastructures, craft transportation vehicles and research technologies that will help them along the way. Infrastructures can increase the survival rate of players. Vehicles will help them traverse the world and collect materials. Completing research allows the crafting of abilities, tools, vehicles, and infrastructures. One of the game’s objectives is building the eponymous Space Elevator. The Space Elevator will eventually initiate Project Assembly where natural resources and mechanical components are directly transported to FICSIT Incorporated. The game comes with multiplayer co-op where players can team up with others for building a lot of machines and conveyor belts.
